BSc in Forestry Science

Guy graduated from Canterbury University in 2019 and worked for a forestry company in Rotorua for two years. In 2021, he started a native planting business while helping project manage a kiwifruit development on his family orchard.

Guy grew up in Tauranga and have a connection to the Wai kokopu area as his extended family has been farming in the catchment at Pongakawa for many years.  

His aim is to encourage and help landowners to retire land for native or exotic planting. Although the results of the changes will not be immediate he is interested to see how things improve for the landowners, environment, and the community.
